This past Monday marked the 45th Anniversary of the appearance of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. February 9th, 1964 was a day that everyone ALIVE at the time will always remember. The broadcast broke all TV viewing/audience records, with over 73 million people watching! That meant over 40% of the U.S. population was tuned in-a record that wouldn’t be broken until the final episode of M*A*S*H in 1983.
It remains the #2 watched TV show of all time-the Beatles second appearance is still #3 all-time.
